There’s one creator I’ve always wanted to talk about but hadn’t gotten around to, and that is Jack Kirby. Well, that is until now. There’s a reason why he’s called King of Comics. A person could run a whole podcast on Kirby and never run out of shows.
But there are a few Kirby creations that I think deserve a little more attention, and that’s Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth, which is what we’ll be talking about on the show. Kamandi was one of many of Kirby’s creations when he worked for DC during the 1970s. Unlike other Kirby creations like Mister Miracle and New Gods—Kamandi hasn’t had a proper revival in a long time.
