It’s about Roy Thomas getting co-creator credits for Wolverine—a scorching topic. The one thing that put me onto the path of this show is one paragraph in an issue of Back Issue Magazine from TwoMorrows Publishing.

I have no real reason why Roy Thomas did it, and in the show, I lay out a breadcrumb trail of possibilities. I tried to put it together with great care and not cast anyone in a negative light. I quoted many sources and did a lot of research.

Inadvertently, this show completes a trilogy that paints a bigger picture. Those other shows were my Star Wars show, episodes 158 and 161, which discussed an issue of The Comics Journal from around 1980. I hope you liked how it turned out and, at least, see where I’m coming from—even if you disagree!

Other Shows With Roy Thomas Background Information

How the Star Wars comic came about and how it saved Marvel from going under during the late 1970s!

We’re traveling back to  The Comics Journal 60 from 1980, featuring an interview with Jim Shooter, who had just wrapped his first year as Editor-in-Chief at Marvel.

As always, my go-to when doing research–

It contains the interview between Roy Thomas and Stan Lee. It shows a different side to both, and you better understand their friendship.

The issue contains a piece on the creation of Wolverine, which led me to do this show.

The volume gives you a fantastic outlook on the comic industry during the 1970s.
